Welcome

Life can feel heavy sometimes. Family struggles, responsibility, disappointment, and growing up aren’t always easy. But you don’t have to carry those burdens alone. Together, we’ll discover how God gives strength, hope, and perseverance for every season.

Text Leah

Home Isn’t Always Easy

Let’s Talk

When people ask, “How’s everything at home?” it’s easy to answer, “Fine,” even when it isn’t. Maybe your parents argue a lot. Maybe they’re divorced. Maybe someone you love isn’t around anymore. Maybe things feel tense, unpredictable, or lonely. Home is supposed to feel safe, but for some people, it doesn’t always feel that way.

If that’s your story, you’re not the only one. Family can be one of life’s greatest blessings, but it can also be one of its greatest challenges. When the people closest to us are hurting, we often end up carrying pain that isn’t ours to fix. You might wish you could make everyone get along or somehow make everything better—but that’s a weight you were never meant to carry.

God sees every tear, every awkward silence, every slammed door, and every moment you wish things were different. Even when your home feels uncertain, His love is steady. He can give you peace in the middle of chaos and remind you that your future isn’t defined by your family’s struggles. You belong to Him, and He will never leave you.

What God Says

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

No matter what’s happening around you, God is a safe place to run. His presence is constant, His love is dependable, and His strength is always available.

Think About It

  1. What part of your home life has been the hardest for you lately?
  2. Have you been trying to fix problems that only adults can solve?
  3. How can you invite God into your home situation today?

Try This Today

Find a quiet place and spend five minutes talking honestly with God about your family. Then think of one trusted adult—a relative, teacher, coach, youth leader, or school counselor—you can talk to if things have been especially difficult at home.

Prayer

God, You know everything that’s happening in my home, even the things I don’t tell anyone else. Thank You for being my refuge when life feels uncertain. Please bring peace where there’s conflict, hope where there’s hurt, and healing where there’s brokenness. Help me trust You with the things I cannot control, and remind me every day that I am deeply loved by You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Need More Help?

If home feels unsafe, overwhelming, or you’re carrying burdens that are too heavy, please don’t keep it to yourself. Talk to a parent you trust, another family member, a teacher, school counselor, youth pastor, coach, or another trusted adult. You deserve to be heard, supported, and cared for.
